Parts, Parts, and More Parts

Task

Your task in this adventure is to answer these questions and discover as many things as you can about parts of numbers while you are visiting Partsville.

What are these number parts?

How do they work?

How they are different from whole numbers?

For your final group project, the three of you working together will create a PowerPoint presentation.

To help you make your presentation, you will first create a storyboard. (Click here for a storyboard form you can print Storyboard Guide.)

Your PowerPoint presentation must be at least four slides:

1. an introduction slide,

2. a slide on sharing,

3. a slide on measuring, and

4. a picture of Partsville that you three draw and then scan into your presentation.

Then you will present your PowerPoint to the class, and answer any questions your classmates may have.

Your slides on sharing and measuring should show information that you discovered while in Partsville.

Your picture should show what you think Partsville would look like if it were a real place.
