Description:

You must attend two social studies related professional development activities and prepare a 1 – 2 page paper describing each. The paper must describe the event and tell how you might integrate what you learned during the event into your future social studies classroom.

The activities may be meetings of professional social studies organizations (e.g., Southern Nevada Social Studies Council, Geographic Alliance in Nevada), conference sessions addressing social studies topics, teacher training seminars intended to enhance instruction in K-8 social studies classrooms, or field experiences. You are encouraged to obtain prior approval before attending any event to ensure it meets assignment expectations.
