The Process

For you to be able to do this project you are going to go through the following steps:

1    Pick a partner (Only one, monogamy is a must with this project).

2    Come see the teacher so they can tell you if you are having a boy, girl, or even twins!!

3    Download the table labeled "What you need to buy for your baby".  Print this page, and save it to your disk. Discuss with your partner what you want to do for a "theme" for your babies room.  You could chose a color, cartoon character, animal, graphic, really anything you want (Just make sure that you confirm with each other before picking something).

4    Using the following web sites, type in everything it asks for on your table, Do Not Leave Anything Out!  To better conserve time you should split the table in half, but confirm with each other on major purchases (like the crib and car seat).  Make print outs of what you think your major purchases are, and use them in your presentation to the class later.

5    When you have the whole table filled in, add up the "Total" column and see how much you spent for your new baby.

6    Make a short presentation, showing the class what you chose as your theme, and what you purchased for your bundle of joy.  Make a poster using your printouts so we can visualize what you are going to do for your baby theme.  Tell us how you might save some money, give at least Three examples on how you could conserve your spending, show us your findings!
