Introduction

Welcome to the WebQuest on the desert southwest.  This goal of this webquest is to produce students who are familiar with their environment and to have a better understanding of their community of Las Vegas.  It is critical for learners in Las Vegas to learn about the desert and how the plants and animals have adapted to live in that environment.   Students must see that plants and animals live in different locations by exploring thematic units of study by have an active learning experience.  This webquest allows children to see how plants and animals live in the desert.
