Task 1: Print out your Polar Bear web-scavenger hunt sheet. Answer all the questions using the websites and books listed under Resources.

 

Task 2: Watch at least 2 of the Polar Bear videos and record your observations in your science journal. How do they move? What do they look like? Be specific in your descriptions. Do not forget to date the entry with today’s date.

 

Task 3: Write a friendly letter to Priscilla and Manuel about Polar Bears.  Using your observation notes in your science journal from the video as well as your web-scavenger hunt question sheets, tell them what you think they should know before they go on their trip.  Be sure to include at least five sentences in the body of your letter.  Each person in the group must write their own letter.  Follow the letter format found on this page. 

 

Task 4: Turn in your Polar Bear web-scavenger hunt sheets into the science tray. Be prepared to share your letters with the class.
