Proteacher is my favorite site on the Internet. It contains several discussion boards, in which teachers describe their triumphs, frustrations, colleagues, administration, or offer each other advice. In particular, I favor the discussion boards labeled "Vent" and "Student Teachers".
Teachnology is an excellent website that is dedicated to increasing teacher's awareness of technological resources. Log on for downloads, lesson plans, games, or to chat with like-minded colleagues.
Discovery School is wonderful for children, as well as educators. I used the site to create a crossword puzzle, but it offers many other exciting features. For example, the site offers a homework helper, teaching tools, lesson plans, and a teachers's store. Can anyone else say, "love it"?
Kid Pix software is amazing. It contains graphics and other tools that allow teachers or students to make pictures, fliers, books, and whatever else you can imagine. The possibilities are limitless!
Inspiration software is ideal for teachers, middle school students, and high school students. It contains graphic organizers and tools that are capable of creating concept maps, stucturing notes, and transforming diagrams into outlines.
