21st Century Skills: Will Our Students Be Prepared?
This article was especially influential in developing my opinion regarding technology in the education field.  Prior to reading 21st Century Skills and taking courses such as Survey of Computers in Schools, I viewed technology as an interference to acquiring timeless knowledge and producing unique works.  I've now learned that integrating it into the curriclum and giving students the opportunity to develop productive, knowledgable experiences with it, is essential to their success and survival in today's workforce.  We live in a world where "technology is, and will continue to be, a driving force in workplaces, communities, and personal lives in the 21st century."  Not allowing students the communication, collaboration, and problem solving practice it offers, would be hindering them from reaching their greatest potential.  Please read through it, perhaps you will agree!
