The Teacher Page

  Target Audience

The webquest project was designed for 9th - 12th grade high school students with computer skills. It is a 3 week self-directed team project (teams are in groups of 4) culminating with a model and group presentation. The teacher serves as a facilitator, providing help with software, locating resources, and possibly providing presentation equipment or supplies.

Goal

In the project, students will use graphic organizers to seek out information about Mars and plan / design a city model for living on Mars.  They will choose (or be assigned if desired) from two different roles: researcher and planner / designer.  They will work in pairs on the two different roles and come together to collaborate the information.  They will then work as a team of four to produce the model and present it.
